Churro Waffles with Caramel Sauce

Recipe Notes: Do you love churros but hate the hassle of deep-frying? This recipe is the solution. You simply "fry" the choux batter in a waffle iron instead of a pot of hot oil and the result is just as crispy and delicious as when deep-fried!

I substituted pumpkin pie spice for the cinnamon in the batter and that was quite tasty. Note that the recipe makes about two full waffles (eight wedges), which was just enough for two people at our house, not four, as the recipe states. :)
